The building itself is a beautiful example of history. Once a mid-16th century convent, it has been carefully restored to become Hotel Vasari. Back when it was known as the Sant'Antonio di Vienne monastery, it belonged to the so-called “frati del fuoco” (fire friars). These friars had a distinctive Tau symbol with which they marked their homes and it can still be seen today at the entrance to our garage.

An abundant breakfast is served in the original refectory, dominated by a large fireplace and adorned with heraldic coats of arms along the walls, just one of the many magical experiences that make Hotel Vasari Palace unique among other 3-star hotels in the Florence city center.
